The Paralympics, what limitation!

The Paralympics, what limitation!

To show the world what people with specific disabilities are very good at, is what the Paralympics excel at. What these athletes have trained very hard for. What they have become better at or even the best in the world. It is this ‘unlimited energy’ that we all enjoy. Not least because it contributes to equal opportunities, a theme we are very committed to.

Therefore, the strategic content line of the place where friends, family, fans and sponsors came together also fit like a glove. The world's first Paralympic House as a beacon for inclusivity.

It was the sentence: ‘This year, for a fortnight, we will be looking at what people with disabilities can do very well, while the other 50 weeks of the year we will mainly look at what people with disabilities cannot do’ that made this very tangible. It was precisely this spark that ignited a flame at Missie H2.

The hydrogen coalition, Missie H2, packed out with a large thematic meeting at the TeamNL House, in cooperation with NOC*NSF, VNO-NCW and MKB Nederland. During this event, a Declaration for Action was signed by many parties for a (more) inclusive labour market and presented to State Secretary Nobel of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment.

In addition, Missie H2 reinforced this with a 1/1 page ad in the FD in cooperation with HandicapNL and Fonds Gehandicaptensport, a digital bannering campaign, LinkedIn campaign and various written pieces.

So all those different stories, from one central insight, came together again in recent weeks. With all the attention and all the partners involved, but above all the athletes and coaching staff, the Paris Paralympics in 2024 made an undeniable impact on a more inclusive Netherlands.
